HULKPROG High-Speed Universal MCU & Memory Programmer
HULKPROG is a professional automotive electronics programmer developed for ECU and module repair, EEPROM and Flash memory work, donor-module cloning, virgin-data writing and recovery of damaged or unresponsive chips. It combines socket programming and in-system programming in one rugged bench tool, giving automotive electronics technicians a flexible platform for daily repair and programming jobs.
Unlike tools limited to a fixed module menu, HULKPROG is designed around a user-defined workflow. The technician chooses the target device, connection interface and programming process. When a known wiring method is not already listed, users can build their own frequently used module entry and retain that information in their individual device database.
Built for Professional Bench Work
- Universal ZIF socket: Insert compatible DIL-packaged chips directly for convenient socket programming without soldering them into a separate circuit.
- ISP / ICSP header: Colour-coded in-system programming pins allow supported chips to be read and written while they remain installed on the circuit board.
- UART interface: Supports serial communication used by compatible boot-mode and single-wire programming procedures.
- Clear status feedback: Dedicated POWER, BUSY, UART and ISP indicators help the technician monitor the current connection and programming state.
- USB PC connection: Provides a direct connection to the HULKPROG Windows software for device selection, file handling and programming operations.
- Adapter-ready design: Optional holders and socket adapters can extend practical handling for SOIC, TSOP, QFP and BGA package types.
Core Programming Functions
HULKPROG provides the essential operations required for controlled chip and module work:
- Read / Dump: Create a complete backup of available Flash, EEPROM and configuration areas before repair or replacement work.
- Write / Program: Program compatible firmware, calibration data, EEPROM contents or replacement-module information.
- Verify: Compare programmed data with the source file to confirm a correct write operation.
- Erase: Perform supported full-chip or sector erase procedures.
- Blank Check: Confirm that a supported memory area is empty before new data is written.
- Automatic Chip ID: Identify supported connected devices and reduce manual selection errors.
- Checksum: Validate file integrity before and after programming operations.
- Configuration and Fuse Bits: Read or edit supported protection and configuration registers.
- OTP Handling: Work with supported one-time-programmable memory areas where applicable.
- On-Board ISP: Read and program supported chips without removing them from the PCB.
Wide MCU and Memory Coverage
The HULKPROG software catalogue covers automotive microcontrollers and memory devices from major semiconductor families, including Atmel, Infineon, NXP/Freescale, Renesas, STMicroelectronics, Microchip, Texas Instruments, Micron/Numonyx, Spansion, GigaDevice, Fujitsu, Seiko/SII and EON. Coverage includes commonly used EEPROM, serial Flash, ARM, PowerPC, TriCore, RH850, V850, STM32, PIC, dsPIC and other supported families.
Because coverage changes as new devices and modules are tested, technicians should confirm the required chip, module and connection method in the current HULKPROG software before beginning a job.
Designed for ECU and Module Repair
Typical professional applications include ECU and TCU bench work, immobilizer and security-module memory operations, BCM and KVM replacement preparation, module cloning, instrument-cluster EEPROM restoration, Flash access for calibration work and recovery of a bricked chip from a verified backup. Actual available operations depend on the selected device, memory type and connection method.
Fast Programming Workflow
For the representative TC277 example supplied by HULKPROG, the programmer completes the operation in approximately 15 seconds compared with approximately 120 seconds for a typical comparison device—up to eight times faster in that example. Actual programming time varies according to the module, memory area, interface, PC and operating conditions.
- Connect the target through the correct ZIF, ISP/ICSP or UART method.
- Read and save a backup before changing the original data.
- Program, clone or repair using the verified target file and correct power conditions.
- Verify the result and retain the original dump for recovery and recordkeeping.
Software, Updates and Support
The genuine HULKPROG programmer operates with its Windows PC software, which provides the chip catalogue, vehicle-module database, wiring information and read/write/verify workflow. The platform does not require an annual subscription fee. Future software improvements, additional chip models and updated wiring resources are provided through the HULKPROG update system as they become available.
Online technical support is available for compatible module requests and troubleshooting. Where requested, technicians may provide module information or relevant log files for technical evaluation and possible future coverage development.

Important Professional-Use Note
Always identify the exact chip and module, verify the wiring diagram, confirm the required supply voltage and save the original data before erasing or writing. Incorrect connections, unstable power or an unsuitable file can damage the target module. HULKPROG is intended for trained automotive electronics and module-repair professionals.
